Typing this entry from an internet cafe, the first thing you must know is that the keys on this keyboard are moved around a bit! So we’ll do our best to avoid typos. First off, our plane rides went great until a 3 hour delay on our flight prior to leaving from Chicago to Frankfurt, Germany! However, there were 43 German exchange students also on our flight, so many of us had the opportunity to share and learn about their experience in America and some German phrases. The hotel we’re staying at in Dermstad is great, and we already hit the pool
Some of us also participated in a pick up game of soccer with some locals, and some Polish men who were also at a caged-in field near our hotel. It was a blast to break the language barrier and interact through a sport. Tomorrow we head out to a nearby town which includes some medival aspects, and a highly recommended Christmas store. We will post some video updates tomorrow. So far our 1st dinner was a fantastic combo of delicious bread, chicken, rice, and a fruit desert that looked like the cover of a magazine with raspberries blueberries. We have also done our best to dive into the language, throwing our our best “Danka” and “Guten tag” statements (“thank you” and “good day”). The weather here is awesome, about 70 and sunny during the day, and it cooled off here now that its in the evening. We’ve no major awkward cutlural encounters or language goofs, but I anticipate we’ll have some to report soon
Thanks for following us, and let us know any questions or shout outs you’ve got!!

Glad to hear the flight went well. Unexpected layovers can be a drag. I’m sure you will make quite an impression on the communities with your singing and strengthen their faith in God with your music. Have a great time. We will be checking regularly. Andrew, your brother is doing well and we get to see him work tomorrow night at the ball game. It is 99 degrees here in San Angelo.
My 3rd try at leaving a comment. Glad you made it. Hope all is well. Andrew, we are staying one more day in San Angelo. Going to another game. Aaron is doing well.
